AHCC^® is a nutritional supplement derived from the root-like hairs of the shiitake mushroom, also known as Lentinula edodes. The compound modulates the immune system by stimulating the production of white blood cells.

AHCC^® has been used for centuries in traditional medicine. Over the past 20 years, the compound has undergone extensive scientific research with more than 30 clinical trials supporting its use in response to viral infections and cancers by supporting the immune system.

AHCC^® is safe to supplement alongside most medications and supplements besides those metabolized by the CYP450 2D6 pathway. AHCC^®has been found to induce the production of the CYP450 2D6 enzyme interfering with the metabolism of drugs like doxorubicin, ondansetron, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, and tamoxifen.

Generally, a dose of 1-3 grams daily is recommended for general immune support in healthy individuals. Higher dosages of 3-6g daily may be taken to support the immune system in response to more specific conditions. We recommend consulting a physician for guidance before dosing above 1-3 grams.

Clinical studies recommend supplementing AHCC^® in two doses daily on an empty stomach. The first dose is taken in the morning and the second dose at night. If swallowing or taking supplements is a challenge, AHCC^® may also be taken with food.

It can take time before you notice an improvement in your health when taking AHCC^®. We recommend supplementing daily for at least three months for the compound to take effect.

It can be helpful to record general health indicators when starting a nutritional supplement. Evaluate symptoms like energy levels, sick days per month, mood, digestion, etc.on a scale of 1-10 in a journal to help better monitor your improvement over time.
